Following on from the success of our Subject Saturdays programme, we are running some more virtual subject tasters in the Easter holidays. Both sessions are virtual so you can log on from home and sessions are led by students at University and College as well as leading names in industry and University lecturers.

Each session is designed to be fun and filled with hands on activities that open-up opportunities for future study and careers. You don’t need any prior knowledge, just sign up and come with lots of enthusiasm. Details of each session are provided below:

Television Production, Wednesday 14th April, 10:30am - 12:30pm 

Do you love TV? Do you want to know what goes on behind the scenes of your favourite shows? Join a previous TV Presenter, Producer and Director, who now teaches TV Production at the University of Gloucestershire, to find out about the world of Television! You will explore different jobs, genres of TV and invent your own game show!


Creative Writing, Thursday 15th April, 10:30am - 12:30pm 

Do you enjoy creative writing? Do you want to know more about how to write good characters? Delivered by an Lecturer of Dramatic Writing at the University of Gloucestershire, this session will teach you how to write creatively and develop strong characters in your works of fiction as well as helping you with your GCSE English work.


If you are the student booking a place for yourself, please note that we will need parent / carer consent so will need the contact details of your parent / carer. You will not be able to attend the session without this.
