Open to students in Years 10 and 11

Are you currently studying art, design, drama or media GCSEs?

Do you love fashion, graphics, make up. games design or big brands? Are you a budding artist, designer or presenter? Do you love film, adverts and animation? Maybe you are interested in behind the scenes of photography or TV studios, or how those injuries look real on Casualty.......

If you want to find out a bit more about creative subjects or careers in a hands-on and fun way join our Saturday Studios!

We are offering you the chance to join us on our four-week, totally FREE Creative Industries Saturday Studios.

We try three creative subjects each Saturday so there is loads to keep you busy! Sessions for 2024 are still be to be confirmed but previous events have covered different creative topics such as;

· games design

· advertising

· photography

· special effects make up

· television production

· graphic design

· illustration

· animation

When and where:

Dates: First 4 Saturdays in March 2024 from 10am - 3pm

Location: Four venues as shown, transport is provided to SGS Bristol.

Why take part?

You will get to see and use some great bits of kit which are used by those in the industry and in related university courses. The people running the sessions are passionate about their subjects and can give you real insight into those areas. Some are academic course leaders, others work in the industry, you will be supported each week by students studying creative courses at university. You will get to see what careers in key industry areas look like, and to develop lots of skills to put in future CVs and applications for colleges and universities.

PLEASE NOTE:

Priority will be given to those pupils who attend target schools and meet certain eligibility criteria. We also require applicants to be able to attend all four scheduled dates.
