Do you want to develop your teamwork, confidence and resilience skills?
Then come along to our FREE University Taster Weekend at the University of Gloucestershire's Oxstalls campus.
It is a non-residential experience which allows you to discover and explore a university campus, as well as finding out what facilities and subjects are on offer. You will participate in activities that will develop skills linked to confidence, resilience, teamwork and communication, in addition to being given the opportunity to learn about the benefits of higher education, and design your own ‘dream university’.
When is it? Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May, 10am - 3pm on both days

How to apply? Follow the instructions below on how to apply for a place. If you are worried about coming alone and want a friend to join you, let us know and we’ll see if we can make space for them too
Why take part? You will get a brilliant idea of what it is like to be a university student by taking part in lots of exciting different activities, exploring the campus and designing your own dream university. You will take part in different sessions learning about circus skills, stage combat and learning how to develop your confidence and resilience. As well as all of this you will have the chance to meet students from across Gloucestershire and make new friends!
Priority will be given to those pupils who meet certain postcode criteria (click here for more information) and who indicate that they are able to attend all scheduled dates. If you do not meet the postcode criteria to book then you will be added to a waiting list and will be informed closer to the time if a place is available.

This event is completely free of charge and the GROWS network will cover all costs including food, transport (where offered) and all activities.
Notes for parents:
Your child / young person should be able to attend all dates in order to take part in this experience
All sessions will be fully risk assessed and all staff delivering the sessions have the necessary Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks in place, where required.
If getting your child to / from this event will be an issue please let us know and we can look into supporting with this.
