Ideal for those with an interest in human sciences and sports, this experience will inform them of the breadth of study available at university level study as well as future careers. Visiting specialist facilities at two local universities pupils will get ‘hands on’ and sample activities linked to sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, technology in sport and biomechanics.
Tuesday 28 May (10am – 3pm) – Hartpury College
Wednesday 28 May (10am – 3pm) – University of Gloucestershire, Oxstalls campus
Thursday 29 May (10am – 3pm) TBC
Your child / young person should be able to attend all dates in order to take part in this experience
All sessions will be fully risk assessed and all staff delivering the sessions have the necessary Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks in place, where required.
To request a place for your child complete the booking link, requesting just 1 ticket. Please note, while this is classed as a booking form, you are just requesting a place at this stage, and places are not guaranteed.
Priority will be given to those pupils who meet certain postcode criteria (click here for more information) and who indicate that they are able to attend all scheduled dates. If you do not meet the postcode criteria to book then please complete the register of interest form. You will be added to a waiting list and will be informed after the 21 November whether a space is available.
Once we have the required information you will be informed as to whether or not your child has a place and if so, you will receive further details as well as a full consent form.
