Creative Industries Saturday Studio

A series of 5 Saturday studios that provide Year 10 pupils with an opportunity to experience a range of creative subjects which could include, photography, special effects make up, games design, media production, journalism and advertising*. 

There will be a range of activities taking place at  various University of Gloucestershire locations including The Design Centre at Park Campus, The Centre for Photography at Hardwick Campus and The Wilson Gallery in Cheltenham. Pupils will have the chance to use university level equipment (camera’s and photography equipment, theatrical and film materials, virtual reality headsets and games technology, media production equipment including edit suites*)

(10am - 3pm on all days)

Your child / young person should be able to attend all dates in order to take part in this experience

All sessions will be fully risk assessed and all staff delivering the sessions have the necessary Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks in place, where required.

PLEASE NOTE: 

Priority will be given to those pupils who meet certain postcode criteria (click here for more information) and who indicate that they are able to attend all scheduled dates. If you do not meet the postcode criteria to book then you will be added to a waiting list and will be informed closer to the time if a place is available.

Once we have the required information you will be informed as to whether or not your child has a place and if so, you will receive further details as well as a full consent form.

This event is completely free of charge and the GROWS network will cover all costs including food, transport (where offered) and all activities.
